At DSW Disability Services Day Programs, we carefully curate each individuals schedule base don their interests, needs, skills they want to develop, and what they love to do. We strive to ensure that they get the most fun and enjoyment out of their days and support them to live their life to the fullest! All day program schedules include Skills for Life, 1:1 Support and Community Access. This schedule will vary for clients on days where incursions take place as well as excursions where they may be off the premises for most of the day.
In house Event Days: Incursions
As part of each clients plan we also include a variety of In-House incursions and Activities such as: Reptile shows, Magic Magician Show, Farm animal visits, music man, Clown Show, Science experiment show, Sensory Room, Clay Sculpting, DIY 'Make your owns', Singing and dance Activities, Aerobics, Disney, Marvel, DC Movies, Board games, In-house Mini Golf, Arts & Craft, Painting Activities, Sensory Toys & Many More!
Skills for Life
Our Skills for Life programs are catered for each individuals interests, which help their day to day living, these skills include: Cooking activities, Positive Behaviour Support, Basic Personal Hygiene, Swimming, Learning and life skill programs including literacy and numeracy activities, Computer skills, Fishing, Gardening and planting herbs and veggies, Musical instrument activities.
1 : 1 Support
At DSW we understand the importance of one on one support and offer reliable and personalised support catered for each individual. We offer positive behaviour support to minimise challenging behaviours and encourage better communication for the individuals wants and needs
COMMUNITY ACCESS: EXCURSIONS
At DSW we support individuals to enjoy community access by organising day trips and outings that are catered to the interests of the individuals.
Community access provides many opportunities for individuals to engage with others and develop their social skills. We have a range of daily activities for our clients, such as: Fishing, Cinema, Beach visits, Cafe visits, Concerts & shows at local clubs, Bingo, Museums, Sydney festivals, Sports games, Pub and club visits, Boat days, Ferry and Train Rides, Min Golfing, Zoo, Aquarium, Picnics, Carnival, Bowling, Arcade and many More!
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
For those that do not have a consistent reliable source of transportation to come to and from our day program, we offer travel assistance in the form of our Pick-up & Drop-off service
